Yes.
The PeeWee Pump pressurises your container to a maximum of 6 psi and so forces the fluid out.
It needs a constant supply of compressed air to achieve this, which a 12 volt compressor can supply with ease.
But as you can imagine, a garage compressor of any size is going to supply a greater volume of air than a 12 volt one.
Air leaks are important, they can stop the pump from working.
Thanks for looking at our new pump. As for being food safe:
The cleanliness of the compressed air that forces the fluid out is the responsibility of the buyer.
BUT, the PeeWee Pump is not certified for food products.
Thanks for asking, I'll leave the rest up to you.
We have developed an adapter that clips onto a metal jerry can and the PeeWee Pump screws into that adapter.
Here's a bit of history about the Jerry Can. The Germans had it developed in 1930 ready for World War 2.
The Pommy soldiers got hold of it and christened it " The Jerry Can ".
For those who don't know, The German soldiers were called "Jerries".
The Jerry can has survived in it's original state, in pretty well every country on earth for over 90 years.
But then, you probably didn't really need to know that.
We've tried to cover most of the threads sizes sold in Australia with the adapters, but there is probably something we've missed.
We have adapters for 6 different thread sizes, and we supply a thread gauge covering these sizes with the Pump.
The short answer is No.
The Pump works on low pressure compressed air ( 6 PSI )
Most commercial containers are designed for pressure well above this. If your container has a rust hole or a leak, the compressed air will leak out the hole and the pump won't work.
If we could measure blood pressure in PSI, our body runs on about 2.3 psi so the PeeWee pump runs at a bit over twice our body pressure.
Most compressed air tools run at 100 PSI and above.
Mainly for your safety and piece of mind.
When you order your pump, you have to nominate a coloured cap for the liquid you intend to put through the pump.
This is to protect you from cross contamination of liquids, and so you know what you have used through the pump before.
Our PeeWee is designed to move all the liquids that all the caps represent.
It will pump any liquid through any cap, the choice of colour is up to you.
They serve two purposes, they cap off the regulator after the pressure is set, and they are a safety device for your protection.
No !
The PeeWee Pump is set to run at 6 pounds per square inch ( PSI ) it uses low pressure, low volume compressed air to move the liquid. The little battery pump up devices won't work because they don't have the volume needed to push the liquid out. The 12 volt compressors the 4WD people use are miles big enough.
No.
You will need a centrifugal pump or something similar to do that.
The PeeWee Pump uses compressed air to pressurise a container and forces the liquid out. You need a small compressor for this.
So, the answer is No, it can only pump out of a sealed container.
